Wedding: Marie + Raphael

This past weekend I attended the wedding of my friend's Marie and Raph.

I've known each person for quite a bit of time: Marie and I used to be dancers for the Philippine Barangay Performing Arts Society for a number of years. Raph and I attended the same high school, albeit he was 2 grades below me - but his brother, Richard, and I were in the same grad class.

Small world.

Their wedding was shot by a collegue of mine, Jessica Fern Facette; I know they will get some amazing images from their wedding. And what an amazing wedding it was. Considering that Marie is an outstanding member of Kita No Taiko, the group played the drums as the wedding party was introduced. Additionally, with Raph being black belt in tae kwon do, we were also treated to a brief presentation from his dojo, in order for the bride and groom to kiss. I do recall the emcees mentioning a number of ways of getting to the bride and groom to kiss (asides from the traditional clinking of the glasses), but the only 2 methods that stood out the most in people's mind were the breaking of the boards or playing a beat on one of the kodo drums!

And of course I was there with camera in hand (people would actually be surprised if I showed up to an event without a camera), to capture some of those unique moments - including Marie playing the kodo drums at her own wedding!

Check out some of the highlights from the reception below:
